just when i had given up, we find a free one. months of hunting, pining over a beautifully geometric six thousand dollar rug, then three thousand, and a couple of decent ones in orono for a few hundred…too paranoid that we’d come home one day to find the rug in pieces (or worse, fallen prey to oscar’s bowel movements). and now a gift from the thrift gods! it’s already so tattered that i won’t be fussing if it goes down the crapper…
